Skating Party for American Cancer Society
A fundraiser on Thursday, February 23rd from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Ohio Skate in Maumee. Ohio Skate has graciously provided the opportunity to host an '80s themed skating party with all admission fees going to the American Cancer Society. Admission $4, Skate rental $1. All admission fees are being donated to the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life).

Fulton County Health Center is offering a free class, Cardiovascular Disease 101, here at the Swanton Public Library, 305 Chestnut Street in Swanton, on Thursday, February 23, at 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Learn the four main types of heart disease, thr risk factors, warning signs and best of all, its prevention. Please register for this class by calling F.C.H.C.'s Diabetes Education Office: 419-330-2772. There is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person for materials. Swanton's library offers free parking and is A.D.A. compliant.

Euchre Tournament for St. Joseph Maybee Men's Club
St. Joseph Maybee Men's Club is sponsoring a Euchre Tournament on Sunday February 26th. The tournament will be held in Madonna Hall, located at 9207 Joseph St, Maybee MI. The doors will open at 12:00 a.m. and play begins at 1:00 p.m. The cost to play is $16.00 per team. The prizes consist of:

Reflections of Mark Twain
Meadow Montessori School will present the musical Reflections of Mark Twain on Friday, March 2, 7:00 PM, at the Meyer Theater located on the campus of Monroe County Community College. American folksongs, blues, and spirituals weave through the life of Sam Clemens as he reflects on his early years in Hannibal, Missouri. All students from kindergarten through grade 12 participate in the show, which features singing, dancing, instrumental numbers, and drama. The American Heart Association will host its 15th annual Glass City Heart Ball, on Saturday, March 10, 2012, beginning at 6 pm at The Pinnacle, 1772 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee.

Toledo Navy Week
Toledo Navy Week, Aug. 20-27, is one of 15 selected cities where America's Navy will "come home" in 2012, giving area residents an opportunity to meet Sailors and learn about the Navy's capabilities and relevance to national security. Toledo Navy Week will commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and The Star Spangled Banner with U.S. Navy ship visits, and special events recognizing America's Navy for keeping the sea free for more than 200 years. The U.S. Navy conducts Navy Weeks across the country to show Americans the return they receive for their substantial investment in America's Navy. During a Navy Week, the Navy conducts a variety of outreach events (approx. 75+) in a metropolitan area, sharing the Navy story with as many people as possible. The Navy plans to include the following elements in Toledo Navy Week 2012: Visiting U.S. Navy Ships, Navy Band musical performances, Admirals and other senior Navy leaders, who will engage with local corporate, civic, government and education leaders, Navy simulator and other interactive displays, Visits to area schools, Community service projects and events with local sports franchises, Visits with local veterans

Paws and Whiskers Halloween Fundraiser
Paws and Whiskers, Toledo's only non-profit all-cat shelter, hosts their annual Halloween Party Fundraiser on Friday, October 19th, 2012 7pm - 11:30pm at St. Clement's Hall, 2990 Tremainsville, Toledo.
The Cool Cat Strut party and fundraiser features dinner, dancing, silent and Chinese auctions, cash bar, costume prizes, and 50/50 raffle, all to benefit the community's only all feline, no kill, non-profit shelter.
